Time: Kickoff 3:00 PM
Venue: Estadio Municipal de Flores, Heredia, SJ
General Admission: 2000 Colones
Costa Rica Selection Team
The Costa Rica team is comprised of players selected from the 2017 AEFA teams that played in the championship calendar. Coaches leading the team are Carlos Avila, Evan Davis Jr. and Andrew Butz who is also the current AEFA president.
Duo Sports Thundercats
The multi-national team was established in 2006 and has played in Europe, Latin America, New Zealand and all across the USA.
Justin McKenzie, Thundercats team founder, head coach and QB stated, “We have had players on our team from 21 different countries.”
When the Thundercats are not traveling they play in USA and Mexican leagues. The roster has an even balance of American and Mexican players.
Central American Bowl II
From February 4-10, 2018 all Central American National or Selection teams will be representing their respective countries in Guatemala at the 2018 Central American Bowl II. The final of this week long tournament will determine the champion team for the region.
For 10 years Costa Rica has seen the interest grow for the sport of American Football. Though, there have been sponsors, the sport still needs more awareness and support. What better way to help than by making a donation to send the Costa Rica Selection team to participate in such a noteworthy international tournament.
100% of donations received will go directly to the travel expenses for the Costa Rica Selection team to participate in the 2018 IFAF Central American Bowl II.
