The National Team of Costa Rica played a fast-paced and action-packed game against the New England All*Stars (semi-pro) Boston based players. New England took the win 36-6.
The day started with a youth and adults’ training clinic consisting of practice drills and nutritional counseling, stressing the importance of making healthy eating choices to manage an appropriate weight. The day continued with a full contact exhibition game between the two U-19 teams of Costa Rica, the Cartago Dragons Football Jrs and the Titans Jrs with the CDF Jrs taking the win 20-8.
This was the first time these two opposing teams met this year since their back-to-back games last December when the Titans Jrs won both games. The Titans Jrs achieved their revenge at that time, after losing to the CDF Jrs in the previous August game.
History repeated itself at the 2013 FEFACR U-19 National Championship games held respectively on August 10th and 17th when the CDF Jrs seized both game wins and were awarded the Championship trophy.
QB, Santiago Campos, was awarded the MVP trophy.
